Electrical Outlet and Switch Gaskets

What is it?
Outlet/switch gaskets are pieces of foam designed to fit behind the cover plates of electrical receptacles and switches.

How does it save energy?
The gaskets reduce the flow of cold air through electrical outlets in the walls of your house. When cold air coming into your house is reduced, less energy is needed to maintain heat in your home. Start with outlets and switches on outside walls, rather than walls between rooms, as these will give you the biggest energy savings.
