Energy Conference Invitation - APRIL 18, 2007

Chief and Council:

This is to formally invite you to our upcoming Energy Conference on May 8 and 9, 2007 to be held at the Prince Arthur hotel in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The focus of our conference is energy efficiency and conservation measures in our First Nation communities and will highlight three components of our program which include;

1. Education awareness
2. Easy To Do Measures
3. Extended Measures

We will be covering meals and accommodations for up to 3 nights for a representative from your community as well as $50.00 per day for meals.

Our invited guests include Dwight Duncan, Minister of Energy, Ontario Regional Chief Angus Toulouse, Grand Chief Stan Beardy. Chief Executive Officer of Ontario Power Authority Jan Carr and Ontario Power Authority Ron Jamieson, Grand Chief John Beaucage, Ogiichidah Arnold Gardner, Robinson-Superior Regional Chief Wilfred King and newly elected Fort William First Nation Chief Howard Pelletier, most of whom are to be confirmed.

It is our hope that you will send a representative from your community who may include your councillor who holds the portfolio in housing or education or front line workers in these two fields.
